    Event Information

    CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
    Registration for the full conference as a regular or student delegate entitles the registrant to the following:

    • Attendance at all technical sessions in the MTCC, including oral and poster presentations (Sunday evening - Wednesday afternoon)
    • Attendance at the trade show in the MTCC
    • Participation in the Ice Breaker Reception (Sunday evening) and Closing Reception (Wednesday evening), with one drink ticket for each
    • Six coffee breaks (Monday to Wednesday)
    • Full conference proceedings on USB (recorded sessions will be posted on the DMEC website, http://www.dmec.ca after editing)
    • Delegate bag with conference program
    • Invitation to the Exploration ’17 party at the Hockey Hall of Fame on October 23

    Registration for the conference on a single day as a regular delegate entitles the registrant to the following:

    • Attendance at the day’s technical sessions in the MTCC, including oral and poster presentations
    • Attendance at the day’s trade show in the MTCC, including the poster session
    • Two coffee breaks on Monday or Tuesday, one coffee break on Wednesday

    SOCIAL EVENTS
    The following social events are being organized by Exploration ‘17:

    • Ice Breaker (Sunday evening) in the MTCC exhibit hall with posters, included in delegate registration, guest tickets may be purchased
    • Beer & wine socials (Monday and Tuesday afternoon) in the MTCC exhibit hall with posters, cash bar
    • Exploration ‘17 Party at Hockey Hall of Fame (Monday evening), invitation included in the delegate registration, cash bar
    • Technical Luncheon (Tuesday) at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel with guest speaker, ticketed event, cash bar
    • Gala Dinner (Tuesday evening), luxurious three-course meal with wine at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, ticketed event, cash bar, guest tickets may be purchased
    • Closing Reception (Wednesday) in the MTCC exhibit hall with posters, included in delegate registration, guest tickets may be purchased.

    WORKSHOPS (registration for the conference is not required)
    There are fifteen pre- and post-conference workshops planned (Saturday, Sunday, Thursday and Friday). The workshops will be held in meeting rooms at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. All workshops are being organized by groups or individuals independent of the Exploration ‘17 Organizing Committee, but are endorsed by Exploration ‘17. The workshop registration fee includes participation in the workshop, the workshop proceedings on USB (arranged by the workshop organizer) and coffee breaks. The full day workshop registration fee includes a buffet lunch. When registering for more than one workshop, please ensure that the dates do not conflict.

    FIELD SCHOOL (registration for the conference is not required)
    A five-day field school will be held during the week prior to Exploration ‘17 in the Sudbury, Ontario region. Participants will depart Toronto by bus on Sunday (October 15) and return Friday (October 20). The registration fee includes bus transportation between Toronto and Sudbury and to the field site, participation in field school activities, proceedings in digital and/or hard copy form, one copy of Dr. Peter Lightfoot’s book on the Sudbury Igneous Complex, five nights accommodation in Sudbury with breakfast, five boxed lunches and a farewell dinner.

    ACCOMMODATION
    Accommodation information will be provide in your confirmation email after completing your registration.

    PROCEEDINGS
    The proceedings of the conference, including the oral papers and poster papers will be provided to full conference delegates on USB and posted post conference on the DMEC website, http://www.dmec.ca. The oral presentations will be recorded and posted on the DMEC website after editing.

    INVITATION LETTER
    If you require an Invitation Letter to participate in the conference and/or obtain a travel visa for Canada, please email info@exploration17.com with your particulars, and we will email a letter to you. You may need to apply online for a Canadian entry visa at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/eta.asp. If your itinerary takes you through the United States, you should determine whether you need a visa for that country as well. Please note: DMEC and Exploration ’17 will provide invitation letters, but will not accept any legal or financial responsibility.

    PAYMENT METHODS
    Delegates may register and pay their fees by one of the following methods:

    • Mail completed registration form and a certified cheque or bank draft (in Canadian dollars payable to Exploration 07) to:

    HST must be collected from all delegates and exhibitors.

    The organizers reserve the right to cancel a workshop or the field school if it is under subscribed. Should this situation arise, delegates will be refunded the corresponding amount in full.

    Payment

    All fees are in Canadian dollars ($ CAD) and are subject to 13% HST (#851588756RT0001). Our secure server will process MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. Charges on your credit card statement will appear as Exploration 17. Payment is required before the early bird deadline of September 15, 2017, after this date the regular fee will apply.

    Certified Cheque or Bank Drafts are to be made payable to: Exploration 07.

    Cancellation & Refund Policy

    ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE 100% NON-REFUNDABLEIf you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person by clicking on the “Edit/Change Registration” link within your confirmation email.
